Wheel alignment (or tracking) consists of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are set to vehicle manufactuers specifications and forms part of standard vehicle maintenance.
Incidents such as hitting the kirb or potholes in the road can cause alignment problems resulting in uneven wear on tyres. Re-alignment can prolong the life of your tyres by up to 12000 miles and ensures that the vehicle is straight and true and does not pull to one side.
Breaking distances, ride quality and fuel economy are also adversely affected by incorrect wheel alignment.
Indications that your wheel alignment needs adjustment are:
- Vehicle pulls to the left or right
- Uneven or rapid tyre wear
- Steering wheel is crooked when driving straight
We use a laser 4 wheel alignment machine to check and adjust the tracking on most vehicles. This give very accurate results to enusre the correct alignment to manufactuer's specification.
